2011's Bolero Routine
Choreographers: Eugene and Melanie Higa

Ola! HBDA- Kaneohe Chapter celebrates the 52nd Anniversary Ball with Bolero, a  v-e-r-y  slow, romantic Latin dance.  Watch the ten couples as they exchange flirtatious glances, gracefully sway, twirl, embrace, and have an overall amorous affair dancing in formation to Sabor A Mi sung by Luis Miguel. Kudos to routine choreographers and instructors Eugene and Melanie Higa for their creative talents, hard work and dedication in teaching us the routine that includes cape walk, shadow check, rondé, cross-body leads and more.  We hope you can see the sparks and enjoy the sizzle of the Higa’s rendition of Sabor A Mi as performed by the HBDA-Kaneohe routine dancers.

Beginning this 2nd quarter, our Monday night classes moved from Benjamin Parker Elementary School to the 24/7 Dance Force Studio located at Windward Mall.

Standing Instructors Les and Sybil Tawata create a warm and welcoming environment for dancing. They provide quality instruction, a great sense of humor, and oodles of encouragement and patience.  Eugene and Melanie Higa round out the chapter‘s leadership as Rotating Instructors for the 1st and 2nd quarters.  Join us at Monday night class!   Where can you be with the love of your life, share warm embraces to the sounds of an energetic Cha Cha, a rollicking Peabody, or the hip international Bachata, surrounded by other happy, friendly people? At HBDA-Kaneohe, that’s where! Come join the fun.
