March 3, 2012 Telemark Ball - Aiea Chapter members were responsible
for decorating and taking care of the reception area for that night. As you
can see from the photos, they did a very good job with the decorations -
such talent. They also helped with receiving the guests for that night.
THANK YOU Aiea Chapter members - a job well done! Their instructors,
John & Karen Kotake, also performed a Chacha routine for everyone to enjoy
during the evening's program. Thank you John & Karen.
April 7th, 2012 - The chapter at HBDA's Inaugural Ball 2012 at the Ala Wai
Golf Course Palladium. Dance, dance, dance - hmmm, let's see, how does that
go again? The steps, its not matching the music. No Problem - just move
around and everything will be OK (until John and/or Karen sees us).
Let's see, what are you doing? OK. I think I got it.

May 5th, 2012 - HBDA Cultural Ball at the Ala Wai Golf Course
Palladium. The full moon tonight is the biggest full moon for all 2012.
But the big moon did not steal the show. To all those that went to
the ball, they were treated with a show that had different kinds of
ethnic dances and performances. The attendees also had ethnic
desserts too to go with their bento dinner. And then, there was
dancing with the music being furnished by Henry Lee. A wonderful
night was enjoyed by everyone at the ball.
Many thanks to Diane Kawamoto, Aiea's Treasurer. She and her
Okinawan music group under the guidance of their teacher, performed
a beautiful song on the Koto, a Japanese musical stringed instrument.
That was a beautiful performance by you and your group Diane. We
all enjoyed it.
